GASPARD

GASPARD was born the 7th June 2016.

When we arrived at Pegasus Sanctuary to pick up FILOU, they had immediately bonded like two old friends.

We couldn't beleive that a stunning young 3 year old gelding Poney francais de selle was going to the abbatoir too.

When he went to be sold at the market, he was rejected because of a small white mark on one of his eyes, even though he had an excellent pedigree: his dad was one of best Poney francais de selle.

It wasn't a difficult decision, we took both of them.

GASPARD - A better life

Although very wary at the beginning, Gaspard learned to trust us with all the love and care we gave him.

He's very selective with his relationships with humans. We don't know how he was treated in the past.

We need to be very careful when riding him because we're not sure about the deficiency of one of his eyes. He needs a lot of talk and reasssurance to comfort and guide him.

With DAPHNE, it's a LOVE Story. When the herd comes back for dinner time, he waits for her to make sure she's not left behind. We sometimes see them kissing and they are very protective of each other.

Gaspard is not for everyone, he has to accept you in his life.
